Animal symbolism? Raven?

I'm pretty superstitious and yesterday I was walking and a raven was following me for about a block. It would sit on the telephone wire cawing and when I would pass it, It would fly close to my head and swoop up to the telephone wire ahead of me and start cawing again. It did this like 3 times until I reached a crosswalk and it landed in a tree. When I crossed I looked back to see if it was still following me, but it dissappeared. Do ravens normally do that? I had nothing shiny with me or anything it wanted. What does that mean?
