Chicago accents.....?

People from the city itself say the flat "aaye" the way you do (me too) but people from the suburbs say the "cog" in the middle. I've been asked the same thing, my answer is, Chicago is a big place, there are lots of different accents - look at Brooklyn and the Bronx, they are both New York, accents, but different right?
