Tips and hints to drawing crystals?

Like coloring them in photoshop. I have an sketch that involves a lot of crystals that need to be colored a blueish color but I have no idea how to go about it! They're obviously not just a solid blue they have green and purple and stuff like that and they're so three dimensional! Are there any tutorials or hints and tips to getting the effect I want?
